Common questions
How are the points worked out?
Each player gets their maal × number of players − the total maal of everyone who has seen. Then every player who did not win pays the winner 3 points if they had seen, or 10 if they had not. Every round adds up to zero. The money for each player is their points × the amount per point.
What are Murder and Kidnap?
They decide what happens to the maal of a player who has not seen the joker (tiplu). In Murder, the default, their maal does not count. In Kidnap, the winner takes it: it is added to the winner’s maal. Pick one under Rules & amount. Either way the unseen player pays the unseen amount. Typing a maal number marks a player as seen; tap Seen to switch it back.
How do dublee wins and salami work?
Dublee win appears when 5 or more players are in the round. Tick it before saving, and every other player pays the dublee extra (5 points by default) plus the salami amount (0 by default). Change both under Rules & amount to match your table.
How do fouls work?
Tap “+ Foul” in the round, then Foul under the player at fault. They lose the foul points (15 by default, set under Rules & amount), and the winner of the next round collects them. If a round ends on a foul with no winner, save it without a winner; the points wait for the next winner.
I saved a round by mistake.
Tap Undo in the bar that appears for a few seconds after saving. Later, tap the round in the score sheet to edit or delete it.
Someone is sitting out a few rounds.
Open Players and tap Playing next to their name to switch it to Sitting out. They are left out of new rounds until you switch them back, and their total is kept.
How does settle up decide who pays whom?
It looks at everyone’s money total and pairs the biggest loser with the biggest winner, again and again, so the night is settled in as few payments as possible.
Where are my old games?
“New game, same players” and “New players” both move the finished game to Past games at the bottom of the screen, with its date, totals and settle up.
Will I lose my scores if I close the app?
No. Games are saved on your device after every change and survive closing the app, restarting the phone and app updates. Deleting the app deletes them. Games are not synced between phones, so keep score on one phone per game.
